Kim, who wakes up at dawn to practice yoga, has always been a healer. He was born into a family of alternative medicine, as his father, too was an acupuncturist. After 10 years working as an engineer, Kim refused to fight his true calling, and enrolled in the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and Emperors College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, California in 1995; he has been practicing ever since.
