Stay in a Piece of Las Vegas Celebrity History
While Vegas has its fill of the latest and greatest, you can still find old school Vegas treasures right out of the Rat Pack era if you know where to look. You can always take a trip to Downtown Vegas and the Fremont Street Experience to check out the Golden Gate, the oldest hotel in the city. Or traipse through the Flamingo or the Tropicana before its renovations are complete on The Strip for a taste of old Vegas.
But we like the idea of staying in a home owned by the celebrities of Vegas’ past. Enter Corporate Mansions and its collection of vintage homes with fabulous past lives.
There’s the Elvis Presley Estate, where the King flopped while he played the Las Vegas Hilton in the 1970s. The two-story, 6,500-square-foot home overlooks the Wynn and Encore. Look for memorabilia from the King himself, a grotto and waterslide-equipped pool. Snag this baby for $1,950 a week with $190 a week in utilities.
Or for something smooth, try the Dean Martin Retreat, the very home he lived in during the early 1980s. The four-bedroom 3,400-square-foot home greets you with a 40-foot cathedral ceiling. The master bedroom has its own private patio and a fireplace. It’s next door to the former home of Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal, whom you might remember from “Casino.” Robert De Niro played Sam “Ace” Rothstein, a character based on Rosenthal, in the film. That home is up for sale if you prefer living in a piece of Vegas history instead of renting Martin’s home for $1,550 a week and paying $145 a week in utilities.
All six of the homes are on or near the Las Vegas Country Club, the hub of old school Vegas living. Each is fully furnished as well.
Corporate Mansion has homes in San Diego, Los Angeles and Miami and can even provide VIP services ranging from exotic car rentals and private plane reservations to personal security and, ahem, corporate models.
