Montblanc Hosts Announcement Party for the 24 Hour Plays
Montblanc hosted an intimate cocktail party at its Beverly Center boutique on Monday evening to celebrate its returning partnership with the 24 Hours Plays.
Influencers and cast members alike attended the annual announcement party, which was also hosted by Urban Arts Partnership.
The President and CEO of Montblanc North America, Mike Giannattasio, introduced the President of Urban Arts Partnership, Philip Courtney, who then introduced Wilmer Valderrama, Michael Ealy, Ashley Fink and Gillian Jacobs, all of whom will star in the 24 Hour Plays this June in Los Angeles.
The four actors joked with each other during the announcement of the entire cast and were playful with the guests, a preview of what’s to come during the actual date of the play, June 20th. They also previewed key Montblanc pieces on display in the boutique, of which included the 90th Anniversary items, a curated collection celebrating 90 Years of Montblanc’s Meisterstück writing instrument.
This year’s cast members include: Alanis Morissette, Alicia Witt, Andra Day, Anna Camp, Amaury Nolasco, Ashley Fink, Constance Zimmer, David Krumholtz, Danny Pudi, Gavin Rossdale, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Ritter, John Cho, Jon Heder, Judy Greer, Karen Gillan, Kelly Osbourne, Michael Ealy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Ramon Rodriguez, Retta, Rosie Perez, Sasha Alexander, Seth Green, Skylar Astin, Tracie Thoms and Wilmer Valderrama.
The creative process of THE 24 HOUR PLAYS in Los Angeles will begin at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 when six writers, six directors, twenty-four actors, and a dedicated production team meet at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. After the community of artists share a costume, a prop, his or her special skill set, each writer will compose a ten-minute play by 7 a.m. the following morning. By 9 a.m. directors will have selected their pieces and their cast will rehearse over the course of the day. At 8:00 p.m, ink barely dry, the six new plays – interspersed with musical acts – will be performed before a live audience. This celebration of theater will offer Los Angeles’ audience a rare experience to witness the thrill of live theater and the talents of Hollywood’s brightest stars.
This is the eighth year that international luxury brand Montblanc will support the 24 Hour Plays Benefits for Urban Arts Partnership, demonstrating their support of arts and culture.
