Miami Art Museum Presents 3rd Annual Corporate Luncheon

Miami’s leaders in the cultural, business, and civic communities arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami for the 3rd Annual Corporate Luncheon, where the Miami Art Museum recognized the private sector’s impact on South Florida’s cultural livelihood.

This year the Northern Trust Corporation received the 2010 MAM Corporate Honors for its support of cultural institutions throughout our beloved South Florida. Miami Art Museum also honored Shutts & Bowen LLP with a Special Recognition Award for their unwavering support of the museum and its endeavors.

Proceeds from the event benefited the museum and its educational as well as public programs, which offer arts education to Miami youth and is the largest provider outside of the Miami-Dade County Public School System.

Ambassador Paul L. Cejas, MAM trustee and CEO of PLC Investments, served as honorary chairman, and MAM Trustee Rafael Miyar and Pedro A. Fernandez, principal of Bernstein Global Wealth Management, served as luncheon chairmen. Miami Art Museum interim director and keynote speaker for the evening, John Wetenhall, Ph. D., M.B.A, addressed the audience with “Museums for the Future – Now,” which demonstrated how Miami could become a leader among the next generation of cultural institutions.
