Nicholas Kirkwood Pops Up Temporarily at the Bal Harbour Shops

As the Notorious BIG raps “and If You Don’t Know, Now You Know”…. Well, I felt like singing it out loud when I proclaim that my friend Nicholas Kirkwood has opened his temporary location at the Bal Harbour Shops.

The Nicholas Kirkwood pop-up at Bal Harbour Shops is part of the brand’s broader international strategy (Maddox retail to be specific), which includes temporary store openings at Maria Luisa – Printemps in Paris, Isetan in Tokyo, and the Middle East to be announced later in 2014. The seasonal pop-up shop (only in Bal Harbour through September 2014) will carry exclusive styles for both men and women drawn from the designer’s Spring Summer 2014 collection.

“I’ve always been attracted to Miami’s energy, art and architecture, which was the inspiration for some of the styles and colours of the Spring 2014 collection. As a result it feels like the perfect timing and opportunity to be opening a temporary store at Bal Harbour” – Says Nicholas Kirkwood

Nicholas Kirkwood launched his signature brand in 2004 and has become recognized as one of this generation’s leading design talents and since launch has won an accolade of awards including the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, Elle UK Style Award for Accessories Designer of the Year, twice, Footwear News Designer of the Year, twice, as well as British Fashion Award for Accessory Designer of the Year, twice. In Autumn/Winter 2013, Kirkwood debuted his men’s collection to critical acclaim; he has stores in London, New York City and Las Vegas.

Kirkwood’s designs have been worn recently by, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Gwyneth Paltrow, Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Alba, Kate and Rooney Mara.
