The quiet yet affluent beach town of Pacific Palisades is about to undergo a massive overhaul thanks to Rick Caruso.
The quiet yet affluent beach town of Pacific Palisades is about to undergo a massive overhaul thanks to Rick Caruso.
The developer responsible for West Hollywood’s The Grove and Glendale’s Americana at Brand is close to finalizing a deal that will turn the Westside town’s sleepy main street into a thriving mecca.
When the deal goes through it will also, according to the LA Times, make the Caruso Affiliated chief “the largest portfolio of commercial properties in this coastal pocket of Los Angeles.”
He will reportedly redo the retail spaces at Swarthmore Avenue and Sunset as well as create a parking lot zoned for multifamily development.
Those who fear the Pacific Palisades will lose its charm need not worry: Caruso isn’t turning PacPal into the Westside’s version of The Grove: he just plans on improving the “village” area by adding a deli, an ice cream shop, retail and a few organically placed restaurants.
