Bovet 1822 Makes Massive Donation to Paul Haggis’ Haiti Charity
Bovet 1822 has made a substantial charitable commitment to Paul Haggis’ Artists for Peace and Justice charity in the form of a five-year minimum of $4.5 million.
The commitment came to be after Bovet owner Pascal Raffy met the Oscar-winning screenwriter and producer at the 2012 Oscar-week Hollywood Domino party.
Though the haute Swiss watchmaking company sponsored the charity on an event-only basis, it decided to officially sign on for five years at the tail end of last year, joining Brioni and Vhernier as official sponsors.
The annual Hollywood Domino, Hollywood’s ultimate insiders event, benefits Artists for Peace and Justice. This year’s soiree will take place at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Feb. 27 and is hosted by Haggis, Raffy, Jared Leto, Rosario Dawson, Jonn Hamm and Olivia Wilde, among others.
Haggis started Artists for Peace and Justice in 2008 in support of communities in Haiti through programs in education, healthcare, and dignity.
