It’s a sad day for the one-time power lunch spot of Barney Greengrass, which has quietly exited the building of Barneys New York in Beverly Hills.

The fifth floor eatery’s sign has been taken down and replaced temporarily with the name Barneys New York Restaurant.

Yes, we said temporarily. According to THR, the restaurant will close down for a three month renovation and return as an outpost of Fred’s which is the store’s New York City restaurant.

The menu has changed a wee bit as well. The famous smoked fish is expected to stay on the menu, though pork and shellfish are new additions.
