The highly anticipated opening of downtown LA’s Ace Hotel will occur even earlier than expected: conveniently in time for the upcoming Golden Globes.
The hotel has bumped up its previously slated date of January 15 to just after the New Year on January 6; the awards ceremony is on January 12.
The Ace is located in the historic United Artists building downtown, which was built in 1927 for the maverick film studio.
Interestingly, the building was based upon United founder, actress and original Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences founder Mary Pickford‘s love of ornate detail.
Golden Globes attendees might want to consider booking a tony Terrace Suite: a 633 square foot room with a private kitchenette and large private terrace which also includes a custom Revo Radio, custom Ace x Rega RP1 turntables and acoustic Martin Guitars.
