Billy Joel To Perform Once a Month at Madison Square Garden

Billy Joel is coming to Madison Square Garden—every month! The 64-year-old Grammy Award-winning musician recently announced his plans to perform at New York City’s Madison Square Garden once every month.

“We’re gonna dust off some stuff. We’re gonna feature more of the album tracks, more obscure songs,” Joel said in a statement. “We’ll still do some songs people are familiar with and like, but we’re gonna change it up. It gives you an edge.”

The New York native first performed at the iconic city venue in 1978 and has played a total of 46 times since. “I said it in `78, and I’ll say it again, there is no better venue in the world,” he revealed.

Joel’s upcoming shows on Jan. 27, Feb. 3, March 21 and April 28 have already sold out. Tickets for Joel’s May 9 show, which coincides with his 65th birthday, go on sale this Saturday.
