Haute 100 Update: Blake Lively Speaks at White House Careers In Film Workshop

Blake Lively, the effortlessly beautiful former Gossip Girl star spoke to a group of high school students at the White House Careers in Film Workshop on Nov. 8 in Washington D.C. The event, hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama focused on the experiences of well-known industry leaders in acting, animation, makeup, costumes, special effects and directing.

Lively took to the stage to talk about her personal experience with acting and its affect on school. She revealed that she wasn’t allowed to participate in her graduation ceremony because her breakout role in Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants kept her from attending class on a regular basis. “I wanted to get a great education,” she told the students, adding that her main goal was to attend an Ivy League college. “If I could, I would go back and I would go to college,” said Lively.

Other notable attenddes included Whoopi Goldberg, Naomi Harris and Harvey Weinstein.
