Brownes Moves To New Design District Digs

Once upon a time Brownes & Co. on Lincoln Road was where all the best ladies when to get their beauty supplies, from 1991 to 2009, back when Lincoln Road was full of chic, indie stores. TImes have changed and so has Lincoln, so they’ve moved a couple times trying to find a new home as perfect as that one once was.  Now, after a temporary location on 40th street they opened in 2009, they have landed in their final spot in sunny studio in the Design District and re-emerged as Brownes Merchants & Trading Co. with chic new neighbors like Versace Home, Armani Home and Balthuslike.

Browne’s loyal clientele have followed them everywhere and will particularly enjoy this new stop. Look for products from brands like Molton Brown, Escentric Molecules, Nars, Skinceuticals, Diptyque, Dr. Hauschka, Caudalie, Bumble & Bumble., and Bliss. There will also be a cafe offering sandwiches, pastries and drinks as well as the beauty and spa services they have become so famous for since the early days of “Some Like It Hot.”
