Haute Event: Ruckus Celebrates His 30th Birthday at Hakkasan
The Ling Ling Club inside Hakkasan at the MGM Grand welcomed deejay Ruckus and hip-hop legend Rev Run on Saturday night. Celebrating his 30th birthday, Ruckus made his way to the DJ booth at 1 a.m. and immediately got the party started. Addressing the crowd, he hopped on the mic and asked guests if they were ready to celebrate with him.
Hip-hop icon Rev Run joined Ruckus in the deejay booth and began to emcee as Ruckus played hit after hit. As Rev Run took a moment to wish the turntable master a happy birthday, a dozen Hakkasan cocktail waitresses appeared holding signs that spelled out Ruckus’ name while confetti flew through the air and the birthday boy was presented with his cake, which resembled a turntable with a Hakkasan-branded record and topped with his neon Beats By Dre headphones.
The duo played classic hits from the 1980s and present day. While the birthday celebration continued in the Ling Ling Club, the main room featured Calvin Harris.
