Rocky Mountain High: John Denver Tribute this Friday
After a decade and a half, there’s no longer a John Denver Week in Aspen. But, that won’t stop fans from honoring the singer-songwriter, when tribute band Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon present the music of John Denver at Theatre Aspen this Friday, Oct. 11.
This one-time event won’t replace the annual pilgrimage to Aspen to celebrate the legendary musician, who once called Aspen home. Denver died in 1997, and friends, family and fans from around the world contribute to celebrate his inspiring music. The band will pay homage to the artist through songs like “Rocky Mountain High,” “Country Roads” and “Annie’s Song.” The performance takes place at 3 p.m. and tickets can be purchased here.
