Phillip and Patricia Frost were honored last weekend at the University of Miami for their contribution to the Frost School of Music. The ceremony took place on the 10-year anniversary of the Frost’s $33 million dollar naming gift to the school. On October 16, 2003, the name of the school was changed from the University of Miami School of Music to the Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music.

The reception was followed by a sold out Festival Miami concert that featured Grammy Award-winners violinist Joshua Bell and bassist and composer Edgar Meyer along with the Frost Symphony Orchestra. During the concert a new musical composition, Celebration March, was debuted by composer and Frost alumni Joel McNeely.
