Photos: Further Performs the Pearl at the Palms

Night one of two sold-out Furthur shows in the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms proved to be a night of good times on Tuesday night. Bob Weir and Phil Lesh treated the audience to mix of covers and of course their Grateful Dead hits including “I Know You Rider,” “China Cat Sunflower” and “Bertha.” The entire audience swayed and danced along to one of the most incredible performances The Pearl has ever hosted. Backed by an all-star band including keyboardist Jeff Chimenti (RatDog), drummer Joe Russo (Benevento – Russo Duo, Trey Anastasio), guitarist John Kadlecik (Dar Star Orchestra) and vocalists Sunshine Becker and Jeff Pehrson, the group pushed the musical envelope with jaw-dropping improvisations and loving renditions of fan favorites.
