Aspen Filmfest Winners Announced

Filmfest wrapped up in Aspen this past weekend, bringing fall film previews to the mountain town for six days of feature films, documentaries and narratives. The 35th annual festival is an favorite among filmmakers and film-lovers nationwide, bringing both sides of the industry to Aspen to celebrate the big screen.

“This year’s Filmfest far exceeded our expectations,” says Aspen Film Executive Director Kip Hubbard. “Even with venue changes and a smaller slate of films, we had one of the most successful and well-received festivals in recent memory.”

The 35th Annual Filmfest winners are:

Audience Special Recognition – Documentary (shared): GORE VIDAL: THE UNITED STATES OF AMNESIA, Directed by Nicholas Wrathall, (USA, Amnesia Productions) and THOMAS KEATING: A RISING TIDE OF SILENCE, Directed by Elena Mannes and Peter C. Jones,(USA)
