If it sounds like history is repeating itself, well, it is…sort of. 14 years after winning the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for Girl, Interrupted, the 38-year-old actress is receiving her second golden man.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Jolie will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Governors Awards ceremony prior to the Oscars on March 2.
Other honorary Oscars being handed out before the Academy Awards go to Steve Martin, Angela Lansbury and Italian costume designer Piero Tosi.
