Nordstrom Celebrates Americana at Brand Opening with VIP Events

Nordstrom’s presence at Glendale Americana at Brand has almost arrived, and the haute department store is celebrating in style.

A series of events will be held at the Caruso Affiliated-owned shopping center to fete the new 135,000 space, which officially opens to the public on Sept. 20.

First, there’s the Sept. 17 opening gala. Nicole Richie will serve as the event’s Honorary Chair; the serving Committee includes Cher Coulter, April Danz, Silva Hameline, Emily Henderson, Melissa Magsaysay, Anita Patrickson and Estee Stanley. Those who attend will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dessert buffets, live entertainment and shopping, of course. Proceeds benefit Hillsides, a Pasadena-based organization dedicated to creating lasting change in the lives of at-risk children and families, and Ascencia, whose mission is to end homelessness in the greater Glendale area.

A Beauty Bash will be thrown on opening day, where Nordstrom experts will offer demonstrations and give away free gifts.

Finally, on Sept. 21, potter, designer, author and personality Jonathan Adler will make a special personal appearance to share the newest designs from his accessories collection
