Haute Event: Taste of Tennis
Last night in New York City, the world’s top tennis players and chefs served up the US Open’s hottest pre-tournament action at the 14th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis.
The evening’s hosts Serena Williams and Marcus Samuelsson welcomed guests at the W New York, where they dined on specialty dishes created by this year’s lineup, including Jesse Schenker (Recette), Harold Dieterle (Kin Shop, The Marrow and Perilla), Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto), and Top Chef Masters’ David Burke and Zac Young (David Burke Group), among many others.
As media sponsor Haute Living welcomed guests including Serena’s sister Venus Williams, Adrienne Bailon, tennis champion Victoria Azarenka, Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, models Anabel Belikava and Jeneil Williams.
One of the highlights of the night came when VH1’s Morning Buzz Co-Host Jason Dundas announced a surprise cooking demo between Samuelsson and the Williams sisters, as guests watched them cook up some fish tacos during the event!
Proceeds from the evening went towards the James Beard Foundation.
