Salvatore Ferragamo designs wardrobe for film Rush
Italian fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo has designed the wardrobe for Academy Award® Winner Ron Howard’s anticipated new film RUSH. Based on a true story, RUSH is set against Formula 1’s glamorous golden age of the 1970s, focusing on the legendary rivalry between two great opponents: the methodical, brilliant Niki Lauda and the handsome English playboy James Hunt.
Ferragamo has designed all the scene costumes for the characters of Niki Lauda played by Daniel Bruhl and his wife. Full of exclusive fabrics and clean-cuts, the costume set is true to the style of the 1970s yet reflective of Lauda’s perfectionism and European sportsmanship. The Salvatore Ferragamo costume set is a reinterpretation of contemporary luxury while also reviving the tradition and craftsmanship during the era that the film presents.
The film wil open internationally at a Salvatore Ferragamo sponsored premiere in London on September 13th.
