Versaces and SJM Announce Plans to Open a Palazzo Versace in Macau
Versace has announced plans to build another Palazzo Versace at a casino in Macau. The development of what will be the brand’s third hotel – after its location on the Gold Coast and one under construction in Dubai – is through a deal signed between the Gianni Versace S.p.A. (“Versace”) and Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) to open a hotel bearing the trademark “Palazzo Versace” as part of SJM’s integrated casino resort in Cotai, Macau.
SJM was founded by billionaire Stanley Ho. In May, the company received official approval to build the 2000-room resort with 700 gambling tables that will soon also be home to the Palazzo Versace.
The hotel will be the first luxury five star hotel in Macau to be designed by one of the world’s leading fashion houses as well as the first Palazzo Versace in Asia.
A press conference will be held on 5 September at the Grand Lisboa Hotel in Macau to reveal additional information
