One of the country’s oldest and largest gay ski events is aiming to set new records, by also hosting the largest same-sex and highest elevation group ceremony in January. “All for Love” is a group civil union ceremony set to take place in downtown Aspen on January 18, 2014, during the annual Gay Ski Week.

“Colorado recently passed a law in May, 2013, recognizing civil unions, and it’s only a matter of time before gay marriage is legal as well,” remarked Todd Heimel, board president of Roaring Fork Gay and Lesbian Community Fund, the beneficiary of Aspen Gay Ski Week. “We want to celebrate the progress that has been made and continue to promote equality for all.”

All same-sex couples are invited to participate in the group ceremony in Wagner Park. There will be a champagne and cake reception at the Limelight Hotel, which is also offering honeymoon packages.

For official paperwork, visit the Pitkin County Clerk’s office.
