Ted Baker Opens First Standalone Men’s Store in Dubai
Ted Baker has opened its first Menswear only store in Dubai’s Marina Mall. The boutique currently showcases Ted’s Autumn/Winter menswear clothing and accessory collections. The brand’s current store in Dubai Marina Mall will become a Womenswear only boutique.
The store’s interior has taken its inspiration from camel racing, once a popular past time throughout the deserts of Dubai. The design references racing in its many forms, including car racing, horse racing and cycling. It also incorporates racing artifacts and memorabilia.
The store has a floor to ceiling glass façade showcasing the mannequins that stand on stepped mahogany plinths endowing them with the appearance of winning trophies. Mid-floor screens are curved with weaved patterns made up of seat belts and polished brass whilst elements from racing stalls have been used to create shoe and accessory units. The racing theme is even found in the fitting room complete with racing car seats, which have been re-upholstered in fabric featuring vintage postcard images of jockeys.
This new creative fashion retail is a great new addition to Dubai’s fashion landscape.
