The Aspen Art Museum hosted its ninth annual fundraiser, ArtCrush, on Aug. 2, raising $2.1 million to benefit the Museum’s exhibition and educational programming, according to Art Daily. The 11-item ArtCrush live auction of contemporary art raised a total of $925,000, and the 76-lot silent art auction garnered an additional $843,000 in support of the museum’s renowned contemporary programming—record highs for the event in both auction categories.
In attendance were Aspen Art Museum Nancy and Bob Magoon CEO and Director Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson, Jessica Pare of “Mad Men,” Oliver Barker, Sotheby’s’ European Senior International Specialist of Contemporary Art and ArtCrush auctioneer, and Teresita Fernandez, the 2013 Aspen Award for Art honoree.
