Bottega Veneta Commemorates the 250th Anniversary of Renowned Porcelain Maker KPM
To commemorate the 250th anniversary of renowned porcelain maker Koenigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, (otherwise known as KPM), Bottega Veneta has created a limited edition of its iconic Knot handbag. One of the brand’s most beloved bags, the Knot is a small, rounded box clutch decorated with refined and imaginative designs.
This version of the bag was created from a combination of exotic and classical accents. The front side is embellished with a unique porcelain medallion featuring hand carved angels that have been produced exclusively for Bottega Veneta. They are set in Oro Bruciato and surrounded by a delicate contrasting trim of brown cubic zirconia.
On each side of the medallion, is a porcelain emblem. The frame and Knot closure, also in Oro Bruciato, are adorned with brique colored verre irise – poured glass, enriched with sparkling gold powder and hand cut to resemble iridescent gemstones, each of which are applied one by one, completely by hand. Each bag carries the words “250th Anniversary KPM” inscribed on a sterling plate inside the clutch.
Introduced with the Women’s Fall-Winter 2013/2014 collection, the commemorative items will be available exclusively in Bottega Veneta boutiques in the UAE at Mall of the Emirates and The Dubai Mal and in the Qatar boutique at Villagio Mall from July 2013 onwards.
