Rupert Murdoch’s Plans for Bel-Air Winery put on Hold
Rupert Murdoch likely wants to have a good whine at the moment.
Not only is the media mogul in the midst of a divorce, but his plans for building a winery in LA have been temporarily put on hold.
The 82-year-old News Corp. Chairman and CEO is awaiting pending approval of a winemakers license from the ABC for the 16-acre Moraga Vineyards in the hills above Bel-Air.
The listing price of the property and winery was $29.5 million, but the sale won’t go through until he gets his license; he applied for said Type 02 California Winegrowers license March 25.
The property is currently owned by Tom Jones, former chief executive of Northrop Corp.
