Just in time for the highly anticipated June 14 release of Man of Steel, Goût de Diamants have released what is now the world’s most expensive bottle of champagne.
The Taste of Diamonds, created by designer Alexander Amosu, costs roughly $1.8 million.
The diamond-themed bottle is encrusted with the label’s signature diamond-cut Swarovski crystal, but was specially created for uber-wealthy clients who wanted something extra special.
Thus, Amosu took inspiration from the Superman logo when asked to design something extraordinary. He handcrafted the diamond design from 18kt solid white gold and placed a single deep cut 19kt diamond in the center. The bottle’s label was also made from gold and was hand engraved with the client’s name.
This new venture will most likely have the happy Hollywood ending given the perfect timing of its launch. Warner Bros. Superman reboot starring British heartthrob Henry Cavill as well as Amy Adams, Michael Shannon and Diane Lane, will hit theaters next Friday.
