Grand Cochon Returns to Food & Wine Classic in Aspen
Ten chefs and 10 pigs. The Grand Cochon concludes five years and 50 events with a culinary competition on June 16 that puts heritage breed pigs and responsible agriculture in the spotlight.
Serving more than 1,200 pounds of pork, the 10 finalists will compete for the title of “King or Queen of Porc,” to be judged by those in attendance and 20 celebrated judges. Competing are: Missy Robbins (New York), Ryan Smith (Atlanta), Jason Harrison (Vail), Jason Franey (Seattle), Michael Scelfo (Boston), Mike Isabella (Washington, D.C.), Adam Sobel (San Francisco), Aaron Brooks (Miami), Cosmo Goss (Chicago) and Ray Garcia, Fig (Los Angeles).
Guests of the Grand Cochon event will be treated to an epic porc feast alongside samples from wineries including: Jordan Winery, Elk Cove Vineyards, Robert Kacher Selections, Sandhi Wines, Wind Gap Wines, Colección Internacional del Vino, and McCrea Cellars.
Grand Cochon takes place Sunday, June 16 at the Hotel Jerome. VIP starts at 4 p.m. and general admission is at 5 p.m. Tickets are $200 and $150 respectively. For more information, visit Grand Cochon
