London: Tom Aikens Charms the Chelsea Flower Show Crowd

It’s finally here — the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (on until May 25) and already the celebs and who’s who are turning out en masse. And who can blame them, it is the social event we’ve all been waiting for. Amazing floral installations aside, there are countless parties to be attended and almost as many dedicated menus and specialty cocktails to be tasted. Top of our list this week is one of our favorite chefs, Tom Aikens, and his Lunch in Bloom event.

Tom Aikens Restaurant has partnered with top London florists Wild at Heart and is offering a two hour floral arranging masterclass in one of its private dining rooms. The morning will start with coffee and pastries while you create your floral masterpiece, followed by a celebratory glass of Laurent Perrier champagne and a three-course set lunch menu (wine pairings available) inspired by English country gardens. Even if you aren’t a bona fide member of the ladies who lunch Chelsea set, now is certainly the time to pretend.
