Brett Ratner was this year’s recipient of GLAAD’s Ally Award.
The Rush Hour director accepted his award onstage in Manhattan on Saturday night with a poignant speech about the drama he created in 2011 when he used accidentally used a gay slur during an interview for the film Tower Heist.
“Homophobe. Bigot. Gay-basher. Ignorant frat boy. Fat, Jewish pig,” Ratner said, rattling off the names he was called in the media after his gaffe.
