Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s estranged wife hosted an intimate pre-launch event at L’Ermitage Hotel in celebration of Half the Sky Movement: The Game in conjunction with Games for Change.

Shriver gave opening remarks alongside Nicholas Kristof, Sheryl WuDunn, Games for Change’s Co-Presidents Asi Burak and Michelle Byrd, Kate Grant of the Fistula Foundation, and Erin Ganju of Room to Read. Actress Malin Akerman and Bobby Shriver were also in attendance.

The event, which was lent special support from Zynga.org, the Ford Foundation, Intel Corporation, The Rockefeller Foundation, Pearson Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts and the United Nations Foundation, was a special celebration of the game’s upcoming March 4 launch.

The Half the Sky Movement seeks to end worldwide female oppression women and girls worldwide; Games for Change catalyzes social impact through digital games.
