Chanel Piano 1
Coco Chanel‘s designs were music to the ears of her devotees, so it isn’t so strange that someone might make a musical instrument in her honor.

North Hollywood based artisan Gene Korolev has created the one-of-a-kind Custom Piano: A Tribute to Coco Chanel to the tune of $250,000.

Using a Steinway & Sons base, Korolev designed the lyra, legs and music leaf from scratch using Chanel’s classic colors of black and white.

Covered with jewelry built from 48,500 brilliant-cut, inlaid cubic zirconium, the piano features a hand-painted silhouette of Coco herself on the inside of the lid and on the music leaf. Additionally, the piano has many symbolic images, like the number 5 for the Chanel No. 5 perfume, the famous Camilla flower seen in Chanel’s jewelry, as well as images of sewing machine and scissors, symbolizing fashion.

This piano is available exclusively through Custommade.com, an online luxury marketplace connecting more than 6,000 artisans with shoppers around the world.
