So Haute: Kate Bosworth, Demi Lovato Open Topshop at The Grove to a Crowd of 10,000
Thursday drew one of the most massive store openings in recent history as a crowd of 10,000 gathered at The Grove to herald the arrival of Topshop.
Sir Philip Green certainly knows how to throw one heck of bash, as he had Demi Lovato (who arrived on crutches) to perform her hit “Give Your Heart a Break” at the haute British shop’s Valentine’s Day arrival in LA.
Trendsetter Kate Bosworth, who cherry-picked her favorite pieces to put on display in the store, was also on hand at the opening.
Lines began to form around 5 am, as eager Angelenos waited impatiently for the massive two-tiered shop to open.
While they waited, they were treated to a British block party that featured a DJ, cotton candy machine, T-shirt printing, gift cards containing $20 to $1,000 and free temporary tattoos.
