Aspen Art Museum Wants You to “Create Your Own Lift Ticket”
It’s only Monday, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start looking forward to the three-day weekend. There are lots of activities on tap for Presidents’ Day in Aspen, including the release of 40,000 limited-edition lift tickets designed by artist David Shrigley. Here’s what the Aspen Art Museum is offering:
Feb. 16, 3-5 p.m., A Few of My Favorite Things
Aspen Art Museum, 590 N. Mill St.
Titled in conjunction with Dave Muller’s Aspen/Snowmass Elk Camp site-specific 2012–13 mural project—based on a brief questionnaire given to Aspen Skiing Company employees in which Muller inquired about their top 10 favorite albums of all time and their height—participants are encouraged to bring something significant (an album, photograph, book, or treasured object) for Muller to transform into a one-of-a kind wearable work of art.
Feb. 17, Noon to 2 p.m., Button Up
Snowmass Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center
Create a pin-back button with Dave Muller of your own design.
1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Create Your Own Lift Ticket
Artists of all ages design lift ticket artwork inspired by David Shrigley’s 2012-13 limited-edition lift tickets.

Après-ski party featuring signature appetizers, local drink specials, and live beats with DJ host and artist Dave Muller.
