Aspen Ranked Most Expensive Ski Town for Lodging

News | January 30, 2013

There’s no surprise here: In a survey of 30 ski resorts in North America, cheaphotels.org found that Aspen ranked the most expensive when it comes to finding a place to stay. Winter visitors heading to Aspen in February or March will pay an average of $241 per night for the cheapest double room in the area, the report found.

The resorts coming in at the number two and three spots aren’t much less. Olympic Valley in California and Utah’s Alta/Snowbird resort are charging overnight rates of $239 and $236, respectively, during the same timeframe. Properties in the survey had to have a minimum rating of three stars.

In Canada, Kicking Horse is charging an overnight rate of $204. To review the findings, visit here.
