An Epic Collaboration: Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum Come Together to Film CMT’s Crossroads in LA

The head honchos at CMT had been trying in vain to get Stevie Nicks as a special guest on their annual program, “Crossroads”, since it debuted 10 years ago.

2013 was their lucky year — all thanks to Lady Antebellum.

Nicks agreed to appear on the show if the powers-that-be could secure her new favorite band, which, of course, they did.

Thus, the rock legend and seven-time Grammy winners Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood joined forces on Tuesday evening at Sony Studios for a collaboration that will go down in musical history.

Nicks was at her best, belting out a series of Antebellum hits before crooning favorites like “Rhiannon”, “Landslide” and “Edge of Seventeen.”

She entertained the audience with stories about each song, saying that she wrote “Landslide” with Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham ditched her in Aspen and how “Edge of Seventeen” came to be; she mistakenly heard Tom Petty‘s wife say “edge” instead of “age.”

CMT has yet to release an air date for the iconic special.
