On My Desk: Mike Yoder of the WinTech LLC and Alice Receptionist

Ever wonder what the most powerful leaders, business execs and celebrities keep on their desks? Well, we’re about to tell you. Our biweekly “On My Desk” feature will take a look inside the offices and at the desks of the world’s most influential power players.

Here we have the desk is Mike Yoder, the chief technology officer of WinTech LLC and co-creator of Alice Receptionist, a technology-based office technology product poised to revolutionize how businesses manage their office lobby and visitor traffic.

On his desk we find three items of interest:
1. A Write No Evil Monkey to remind him that before he hits “Send” on an email. “Once it’s written down (or emailed), there is no getting it back.”

2. A giant rubber band ball to remind him to be patient. “Some things take time to develop.”

3. An HP-12 financial calculator. Yoder has had this calculator since 1987. It’s one of the early programmable calculators and still a mainstay for when he need to run quick calculations.
