Getty Celebrates Klimt Sesquicentennial With Special Austrian-Inspired Menu

In honor of Gustav Klimt’s sesquicentennial, the Getty is taking things up a notch.
Not only is the museum displaying over 100 of his drawings, many of which have never been seen before in America, but it is providing food that give patrons an authentic Austrian experience.
The Getty will serve Austrian-inspired Niman Ranch pork schnitzel with Yukon Gold whipped potatoes, escarole, Parmesan, arugula, and rosemary honey mustard ($20, lunch, $26 at dinner). They’ll also do Austrian beer flights for $7.
Gustav Klimt: The Magic of Line will be on view until September 23, 2012.
Lunch hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dinner hours are Saturday 5:00-9:00 p.m. Brunch is served on Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.The Getty’s restaurant has also extended their hours to have the restaurant stay open until 9 p.m. on Fridays. You can make reservations here.
