Cycle Your Workout at New Spinning Studio in Kaimuki
Ate too much at that barbecue on July 4th — and still feeling it now?
Torch 800 calories an hour — and in air conditioning — at a new studio in Kaimuki that focuses solely on spinning classes.
Honolulu Holo Cycling, which opened four months ago, is a 2,000-square-foot studio on Waialae Avenue with 30 brand-new, top-of-the-line Spinner Blade indoor cycles and two huge projector screens that play everything from snowboarding vids to clips from the Tour de France.
“Those are visual stimulants,” says owner Devin Minardi.
The studio currently offers three classes day (except for Sundays) — though that number will increase to five soon — running between 45 minutes to an hour, with core exercises added on.
“It’s a great workout that, in a short amount of time, burns a lot of calories and it’s easy on the body,” Minardi says. “There’s really nothing quite like this anywhere here.”
Cost is $15 per class, $130 for 10 classes, $220 for 20 classes, or $150 for an unlimited monthly pass. First rides are free for residents.
