Coachella Music Festival Might Be Moving Out of Indio
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival has called Indio, California home for the past 13 years, but come 2013 change is in the air.
Goldenvoice, the company that produces the celebrity-favorite two-week festival, has reportedly decided to move out of Indio after the city proposed an $18 ticket tax for 2014.
Though $18 isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, fans of the festival will be displeased to be paying extra in lieu of the already hefty ticket prices.
Goldenvoice president Paul Tollett said that the ticket purchase tax was “outrageous for all the things we’ve done with Indio” and also vowed to move the country music Stagecoach Festival away from Palm Springs.
