Haute Event: Paula Abdul and Her Beau Johnny Caprio Celebrate Their Birthdays at Azure

It was a milestone occasion in Las Vegas this Thursday as pop music icon and former “American Idol” sweetheart Paula Abdul celebrated her 50th birthday at the Palazzo.

The singer and television personality, along with a couple dozen of her closest friends, commemorated the occasion by soaking up some sun at Azure, the Palazzo’s luxury pool.

Abdul and her beau Johnny Caprio, who also joined in on the fun by celebrating his own birthday at Azure that day, chatted with guests about what it was like to turn 50.

“It’s a huge birthday for me! I’m excited about it. It’s a monumental birthday for sure!” Ever the hostess, Abdul cut her own cake and served her guest pieces of a carefully crafted red velvet masterpiece.

Later in the evening, the music icon and TV judge continued the festivities at Tao at the Venetian.
