Haute Event: The Miss USA Contestants Make a Dash Down the Strip in Chinese Laundry Shoes

Chinese Laundry, the official footwear sponsor of the 61st Annual Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions, hosted a wedge run with Dania Ramirez on Las Vegas Boulevard on Tuesday.

Ramirez kept the crowd in stitches as she joked around with the beauty queens, braving the 105 degree temperatures on the Strip. Using her charm and enthusiasm, the “American Reunion” actress led the charge as all 51 beauty queens (wearing Chinese Laundry’s Make My Day wedges) raced across the street and competed for the ultimate prize: a $2,000 donation made out to the winner’s charity of choice.

Miss Missouri Katie Kearney, took home the prize and will donate to the Saint Louis Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
