New Yorkers for Children: A Fool’s Fête

New Yorkers for Children and Missoni hosted their annual charity bash, which raised over $500,000 for the city’s needy children on April 16. Some of the star-studded attendees included Mary Kate Olsen, Fergie the Duchess of York, Emmy Rossum, and some of New York’s most elite philanthropists.
Transpiring at the crème de la crème Mandarin Oriental, organizers brought in David Stark to style the event, and fashion aficionados Zac Posen, Georgina Chapman, and Elie Tahari joined the festivities, taking in the spectacle of gowns and styles adorning the event’s regal ambassadors.
Powerhouse brands Burberry, Calvin Klein, Swarovski, and Vogue generously opened their pockets to help fashion the evening of dining, dancing, and silent auctioning. New Yorkers for Children even invited a few of the event’s benefactors – ten foster care youths – to get a Frederic Fekkai make-over and mingle within the sea of glistening couture gowns and New York socialites.
