Haute Fashion Daily: Leighton Meester and Vera Wang Team Up for a Charitable Cause
Vera Wang and Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester have joined forces with DKMS Americas to promote awareness for bone marrow donations. Meester, the face of Wang’s new fragrance, Lovestruck, will be joined by 19-year-old leukemia survivor Kerri Mullen in an advertising campaign and will be wearing a T-shirt designed with a “Share the Love” theme, created by Wang.
The T-shirt will be given with a $78 purchase from the Lovestruck collection starting on March 28 in Macy’s stores nationwide. Meester explained that the T-shirt theme “is an altruistic idea of love — it’s about giving the gift of life to a stranger.”
