For the 93rd anniversary of the ratification of the United States’ 18th Amendment, Prohibition, the Savory London transformed its dark, sexy Beaufort Bar into a Prohibition-themed night on Jan. 17.

Guest were greeted at the door by Gemma in a 1920s fascinator and were required to give the password (Kaspar) in order to cross the velvet rope. The menus and its contents were styled for the evening as well with six cocktails, three of which had been concocted specifically for the evening.

There were rules as well: bottles would be served in paper bags, champagne served in special fluted goblets and all other cocktails were poured into traditional tea cups. Combined with unlimited refills of olives, macadamia nuts and caramelized almonds, the night was a sure success.
