Golden Lamborghini On Display At Tokyo Auto Salon

King Midas, remembered in Greek mythology for turning everything he touched into gold including his daughter, must be a zombie. It seems a Lamborghini Murcielago showcased at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon was the most recent victim of the Midas touch.

The Tokyo Auto Salon is the largest car event in Japan and it happens once every year on the second week of January. Each year, speedy cars like the Murcielago, as well BMW roadsters and supped up, LED lighted Honda’s line up the displays as hundreds of attendees marvel at the automobiles. In essence it’s where the creators of the Fast and Furious franchise look for cars to be in their speed racing movies.

If there were a contest at the Tokyo Auto Salon for this year’s most jaw dropping, glistening and radiant car, the golden Murcielago on display at the Liberty Walk booth would take top prize. The runner up would go to the R Pride Daihatsu Copen, which was decked out in jaguar spotted pink, more fitting as a Hello Kitty toy than a real car.
