Poseidon needs to guard his domain a little closer. The Greek god of the sea may look and sound menacing, but in reality, we’re reaping the benefits of the ocean and he’s had very little to say about it so far. Whether it’s oysters and mussels, perfectly cooked scallops, or a death-defying sample of blowfish, Angelenos and the chefs that feed them are not shy when it comes to experimenting with foods that come from the deep blue. From sushi to seafood, we are enamored with the fruits of the ocean and there are a number (five, to be precise) of haute establishments in L.A. that have taken this love to the next level–they are the five restaurants that Poseidon had better keep a closer eye on.
