Rocco Forte Hotel to Open in Abu Dhabi November 7
All eyes are on the Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi, which is set to receive its first guests on November 7.
The Rocco Forte Abu Dhabi is the company’s first hotel in the Middle East and will include 281 rooms in its wave-shaped hotel. It will feature a blue and green glass façade, ideally located between the airport and downtown areas. It will be close to the exhibition center and Yas Island and will be among the first of a wave of five-star hotels opening in Abu Dhabi in the near future.
In addition to being the company’s first Middle Eastern property, it will also be the first property within the group to bear the name of its Chairman and CEO, Sir Rocco Forte. Culinary options in the hotel will include a modern Chinese/Japanese restaurant, a poolside South American bar and chefs Mark Hix and Paolo Verzen overseeing the grill and an Italian a la carte restaurant respectively.
In the Upper Lobby, a tea lounge will offer city views and Sky Bar will be located on the glass-walled sixth floor. In the rooms above each large bathtub, an Arabic inscription is displayed which means “May it rain on our desert.”
There is a separate floor to accommodate seven meeting rooms, a business center and a ballroom which can accommodate 500 seated guests, as well as a pre-function area. The hotel also provides a VIP majlis and dedicated events team.
There is a 2,000-square-meter spa that includes a vichy shower suite, fully-equipped gym and yoga/pilates studios along with a salon.
The Rocco Forte Abu Dhabi was developed in conjunction with Tourism Development & Investment Company and the UAE’s Al Farida Investments Company.
