Palm Beach’s swanky Worth Avenue shopping block is going to go through a renovation, but apparently it’s going to take longer to get started than they thought. According to Harvey Oyer, an attorney representing the Worth Avenue Restoration Association, the project may take from mid-April until early November to complete. He said the “aggressive” schedule is trying to squeeze in two years of work into just a couple of months. Burkhardt Construction of West Palm Beach is handling the project, which calls for a renovation of the three blocks from South Ocean Boulevard to Coconut Row, the construction of a clock tower, and a new piazza in the middle of Hibiscus Avenue. Burkhardt expects to have a price estimate and schedule by the beginning of next month.
